From as early as I can remember, I always knew I wanted to work in the health profession, I just didn’t know where. When I was young, my father seriously injured his back at work. I remember the vast amount of pain killers, muscle relaxants, and specialist appointments, which only gave him temporary relief. His condition continued over many years and did not improve. As I grew older, I started to learn about different types of alternative health care and a holistic treatment options. My father was referred to a Chiropractor. He was amazed to see how his back felt after one treatment. I made the decision shortly after to become a Chiropractor.
Becoming a Chiropractor
I attended Simon Fraser University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and a Certificate in Health and Fitness Studies. Soon after, I attended Western States Chiropractic College, in Portland, Oregon where I graduated with a Doctorate in Chiropractic.
Chiropractic Care & My Patients
The Nervous system controls everything in our body. If there is any interference in the nervous system, the body isn’t working at its full potential. Subluxations (misalignments) in the spine cause nerve interference. Chiropractic care allows for corrective care of these subluxations, allowing for the nervous system to work optimally.
Outside of the Office
I also preach what I practice. I get adjusted on a regular basis. I stay active by playing ice hockey, golfing, and tennis. I also enjoy traveling with my wife Anita. I enjoy reading and continue to educate myself with new information that can provide the best care for my patients.
